Before your team spends an hour in SAM.gov, use this checklist to decide whether a facility lead deserves a real review.
Can you actually serve the location?
Check the place of performance, site access, travel distance, and whether your team can staff the job without stretching operations.
Does the scope match your normal work?
Look for familiar services, equipment, labor expectations, and exclusions. Skip leads that look close but require a different crew.
Can your business use the set-aside?
Review whether the lead is open, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, or another category you can actually claim.
Is there enough time to respond well?
A short deadline is not always a dealbreaker, but it should change the level of review before you commit estimating time.
Is there a clear buyer contact?
Save the contract specialist, solicitation link, due date, and site visit details before deciding whether the lead is worth work.
